Tips

Never recorded in a studio before?

No worries, I’ve got your back! You’ll quickly see how laid-back the scene is, but there are two things to keep in mind when it’s time to record:

    1. Emotion is one of the most important things in music, and as a listener I want to feel what you feel. It’s all about your mindset – if you’re recording a sad song it’s a good idea to get to a sad place mentally (as depressing as that sounds). I can hear through your instrument if you’re stressed or frustrated, be it vocals or guitar, so take a breath and feel the song.
    2. You don’t need to be a one-take wonder! Even if you play the part perfectly, we will still go back and record it a few more times. This allows me to stitch together the best parts of each take. Obviously it’s great if you can avoid mistakes, but this can be stressful for beginning artists. Think of it as a safety net.
